Sealed Bids for the Ruby Amphitheater Re-Roofing will be received by THE CITY OF MORGANTOWN at
the office of the FINANCE DIRECTOR until 2:15 pm local time on November 14, 2023 at which time the
Bids received will be PUBLICLY opened and read. The Project consists of the Removal of the edge
flashing and existing spray foam roofing, proper disposal of removed materials and install new Roofing
Material at the Hazel Ruby McQuain Park Amphitheater. On Site work may start immediately after
Notice to Proceed is issued. Awarded Contractor may Pre-order materials and have submittals approved
so they can begin work in the field on as soon as possible. Final Completion shall be accomplished by
May 12, 2024.
A two-envelope system will be used. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope. Envelope No. 1
must contain the Bid Bond, Certification of Compliance, Power of Attorney, and all other necessary
documents required on the Bid Opening Checklist. Envelope No. 2 must be a separate, sealed envelope
marked "Bid Proposal" and must contain the completed and signed Bid Proposal. If the documents are
not in order, the envelope containing the Bid Proposal will not be opened and the Bid will be considered
non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder.
Both envelopes must have the following information in the lower left-hand corner.
Name and address of Bidder, Bidder's WV Contractor's License Number, "Bid Call 2024-04 “Ruby
Amphitheater Re-Roofing", City of Morgantown, 389 Spruce Street, Morgantown, Monongalia County,
West Virginia 26505. To be opened on November 14, 2023.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is the City of Morgantown’s Engineering and Public Works
Department, 200 M-Tec Drive, 304-291-7465. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents under the section titled "Related Documents."
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Finance Office, Monday through
Thursday 7:00am to 5:00pm upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $50.00 for each set. Checks for
Bidding Documents shall be payable to “City of Morgantown.” Upon request and receipt of the
document fee indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit
the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping
method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the
Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of
Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be
responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from
sources other than the Issuing Office.
There will be an optional Pre-Bid Meeting on site on November 2, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
