Periodic Mowing 2023

The City of Bluefield, West Virginia Code Enforcement Department, 200 Rogers St, will be receiving sealed bids for the maintenance of properties in violation of the city grass ordinance. Bids will be received until 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 21 st , 2023.

Any bids received later than the above date and time will be unopened. Sealed bids must be marked on the outside of the envelope “CE Mowing-City of Bluefield WV. Sealed bids will be opened Friday April 21 st , 2023, at 2:15 P.M. at the City of Bluefield Municipal Complex at 200 Rogers St Bluefield WV.

This work shall consist of periodic mowing within the corporate limits of the City of Bluefield. Mowing contract will be valid for the 2023 mowing season. Mowers must be fully licensed by the State of West Virginia and obtain a city business license. Mowers must provide proof of liability insurance. Bidders will provide a flat rate price per property and will supply their own equipment. All properties are to be raked and grass clippings bagged. Mowers must come into Bluefield City Hall Bi-Weekly to receive mowing list unless otherwise advised. Building Inspector Tyler Myers will supervise mowers and all issues should be directly discussed with him.

Please note all properties to be cut will be at least 1 foot tall.
