Q1: Are you looking to have a warning system installed indoors to alert your staff working indoors, or are you looking to have an outdoor warning for those working outdoors (and if so, which parts of the base need coverage)?



A1: Indoors – We’re looking to have something that’ll give us a countdown to all clear from the last strike. Just something we can visually see, like a screen with the strike distance from field and a count down.



Q2: How many staff members would need to be on the alert notifications?



A2: Between 40-50 (Airfield Management, Fire Department, Command Post, Commanders, Supervisors of Flying)

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.





W50S8V-23-Q-0031 – This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) which will result in a Firm-Fixed-Price contract.



This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2023-04 dated 02 June 2023.



This requirement is designated with a Small Business set-aside of Total Small Business and associated with NAICS code: 334290 with a small business size standard of up to 750 employees.



The 167th Airlift Wing, Martinsburg, WV is requesting a quote for Lightning Detection System. This requirement is being evaluated on price alone. Please provide a quote in accordance with your terms & conditions. The award of this contract will be made without discussions.
